Kuqi for Clarets?

SOCCER: Striker Shefki Kuqi is being linked with a move to division one leaders Burnley.
The Finnish international is believed to be a target for the Clarets, with a £750,000 price tag being mooted.
Neither Stockport County or Burnley have made any comment on the subject, but it's known that Kuqi is available for transfer.
Kuqi spent a week on trial at Blackburn - neighbours and rivals of Burnley - in November but Rovers boss Graeme Souness didn't take up an option to sign him in a reported £1m deal.
With County boss Carlton Palmer saying he wants to sell some of his current squad to bring in new faces, Kuqi would be ideal for Burnley. Manager Stan Ternent is looking for strikers after loaning out prolific scorer Andy Payton to Blackpool.
Such a signing would increase the links between the two clubs. Ian Moore left Edgeley Park for Turf Moor in a £1m deal last season, a move also made by midfielder Paul Cook.
