Panthers finish unbeaten

Stockport-based girls made up the majority of the Tameside squad who have had a splendid season during which they remained unbeaten from start to finish.

Tameside Panthers, whose squad includes several Greater Manchester County players, celebrated success in the Year 7/8 Division One Summer League and Cup. Most of the girls attend Reddish Vale and Werneth schools.

The squad includes Megan Johnson, Amy Pennington, Heather Cooper, Angeliki Rawlinson, Lauren Millar, Amanda Beddard, Melissa Carney, Jenny Talbot, Elisha Porter and Melissa Wilkinson.

The Panthers play at the North West Regional Basketball Centre in Reddish, and teams from all over Greater Manchester play, including Oldham, Trafford, Stockport and Didsbury.
