Celtic stars stun poor Hollywood

BRINNINGTON Celtic's latest victims Hollywood crashed to a 14-1 defeat against the league's in-form side.

Celtic's prolific goal-scorer Mickey Bierne netted six times, Ben Halfacre bagged a hat-trick and team-mates Darren McConnell (2), Scott Flanagan (2) and Andy McDonald also scored.

Houldsworth Arms and the Cheshire Cat, who occupy second and third positions in the league, drew 2-2.

Jamie Allen and James Pearson scored for the Arms while Tony Short provided two for the Cat.

Roaring Winds provided both goals in their 1-1 draw against Mermaid.

Alex Duddleston netted an own goal while his team-mate Russell Bruckshaw scored for Winds.

Mid-table team the Thatched Tavern beat Woodman Wanderers 5-3 thanks to a Brian Costello hat-trick and one goal apiece from Chris Greenhalgh and David Johnston.

Woodman's scorers were Anthony Wild (2) and David Kerfoot.

Bridgehall FC were 2-0 victors over the Bulls Head - Andrew Rowlands and Andy Cosgrove the goal-scorers.

Navigation pulled themselves up from near the bottom of the league with a 3-2 win against the Grey Horse.

Ross Heaton (2) and Nick Thirkell scored for Navigation, while James Mooney and Paul Fearon netted for the Horse.
