Bring on Bridlington!

WOODLEY Sports will head off for table-topping Bridlington Town on Saturday in excellent heart following last weekend's crushing 4-1 home league win against Eastwood Town.

Some may fear that the Steelmen will face a daunting task in North Yorkshire, but manager Ally Pickering is not fearing a side who he feels were fortunate to win the reverse fixture at Lambeth Grove earlier in the season.

"Bridlington beat us 2-0, but on the day we did everything but score," said Pickering.

"We'll go there full of confidence, we scored a few goals on Saturday and the good thing is that we're starting to get a few players back from injuries now.

"We're looking much stronger now after a couple of recent defeats.

"We'll be going up to Bridlington looking for the three points, make no mistake about that.

"We won't be negative and we won't be scared of them."

Woodley responded well to the previous weekend's disappointing FA Trophy reverse by racing into a three-goal half-time lead against Eastwood.

Nick Boothby netted a fine goal on his debut after signing from Trafford, then Liam Dickinson doubled the advantage.

Mario Daniel put Woodley three clear before the break, while Daniel Douglas-Pringle scored a fourth minutes after Eastwood netted their consolation effort just after the hour-mark.
