Eaton’s vets’ title glory

LAST weekend saw Stockport 2006 riders take part in the British indoor championships at Salford Fit City.
Chris Eaton finished in second place, but he really should have won. However, a fall in his first race put paid to his hopes.
Terry Norman lost a run-off with last year's winner Steve Harris from Swindon and finished in third place overall in the British open senior event.
Brian Eaton successfully defended his veteran's title for the third time after beating Paul Timms from Birmingham in a run-off.
Meanwhile, the Stockport 2006 club held its presentation evening on Friday night.
The senior team won three league titles, and the junior team won one league title and various individual trophies.
