Junior Soccer

GREAT Moor under-12s and Signol Athletic played out a great game in blustery conditions in the Stockport Metro League Cup on Sunday.

A brace from Sam Dobbins gave Signol a two-goal lead, but Great Moor fought back for a stunning 4-3 victory thanks to goals from Jordan Cooper and Lewis Curtis, who bagged a hat-trick.

Niall Rhodes netted Signol's other goal.

Great Moor under-10s A beat Didsbury Juniors 3-0. The goals came from Andrew Renshaw and Hugh Hill (2).

The B team won 1-0 against Poynton as Morgan Venables grabbed the only goal.

Moor's under-13s B team lost 4-0 at Cherry Tree Celtic.

Bramhall North Lions under-11s drew 1-1 against Didsbury Juniors.

Will Smithson was on the mark.

Bramhall North under-12s went down by the odd goal in nine at Bollington despite goals from Simon Green, Jamie Taylor, Callum Davies and Travis Heywood.

Stockport Junior Blues North under-12s beat Great Moor B 3-2 in the League Cup.

Hitting the target were Luke Walker, Jamie Maugham and Matthew Vickers.

Spurley Hey under-12s edged out Woodley Albion 2-1 thanks to goals from Jack Hulme and Tom Hughes.
